Not really they're Lee Enfields so that's a good place. Failing that aftermarket (what HAVE you done to that rifle) section is fine too. If its an Indian one there's a section for them too (Ishapore Enfields).

Shamu Thanks for that info. I used the search button and turned up a few things. If I get a chance later tonight I'll take a pic or two and post and go from there. Later 42rocker

A square 10 That's a pic of a few of the Enfields that I own. Not sure about my next steps. Several are going to be worked on and end up in my collection and a few are going to be made into parts to repair the others with leftover parts being sold. A few might be sold, either after being worked on or as is. Time and my learning and rebuilding time will be the key factors. As I learn more I will be going from there. As I don't live in White Bear Lake, Mn and now live in Fla, I don't get the chance to hunt as much anymore. So collecting is the main thing now. I'll post more pics later and try to learn a few more things later. Later 42rocker

Fla and gun regs normally is a very good. A little problem over the way they did the law about bumpstocks. It's too grey, if pushed they can call a pencil a device to cause a regular weapon (semi auto) a bumpstock device weapon. ie Felony time. I'm sure the law will have to be redone at some point. I'm hosting a Builders and Belt Fed Shoot in Nov at one of the local ranges. If interested let me know. Ok, enough about that I would like to show a few pics of a couple of the above weapons and find out what you folks can tell me. I have a lot of books on a lot of different weapons (detail books, not general info.) That said I've not bought the Enfield books that I would like to and it might be a while before I can. An thoughts on which are the better books?? I'm going to post 2 messages one with pics of E 01 and the next with pic E 02. Later 42rocker

This is the 1st which I'm calling E 01. Yes these are far from perfect but they still have history even if they are never (I hope) going to be shot again. Note the slot cut in the receiver, early. Later 42rocker |

EO1 is an indian made rifle , it was originaly a mkIII rifle - quite common and that was the era , it looks converted to the british 410 - blown out 303 cartrige by the wood plug in the mag well , used well , but very interesting ,
the EO2 looks a commercial BSA - no military marking that i see in your photos , also quite common as BSA was both military and commercial builder , the paint indicates it was possible it served at a school - ill let a more educated than i responder tell you about the colors meaning ,

The EO1 as follows: G.R.I. is a stamp for George Rex Imperator. The official cipher for King George V. The SHTL.E. is simple,Short Magazine Lee Enfield. It is a 1916 No1 MkIII. The cut slot in the receiver is for a Charging Cut Off plate.
EO2 BSA: Birmingham Small Arms |

Wow, Thanks I've learned a lot from those two posts. Of course I've got a lot to learn on these Enfields. I'll try to take a couple more detail pics of these two and two more over the weekend. Thanks Again. Later 42rocker

The green paint below the wood line on the one was a British rust preventative used in tropical climes.
Two very interesting rifles. It took a lot of years and a lot, a lot, a lot of use to get them into that shape. The white painted band signifies use as a DP, a non firing Drill Purpose rifle for training.
