hi all

the last couple of years i've become a fan of the dodge WC of ww2.
top for me is the WC63
the past years i've become a regular visitor of the MV gatherings.

some of my colleague's are getting interested to.

so we are going to start a reenactmentgroup.
because of the oversupply of airborne division reenactment we would like to do armoured div.

the group has decided that it would be the 9th. ( 1st , 2nd and 3th are already groups active).

i've been looking over the net the past days , but it seems tehre is not that mucht to find on the net .
any tips where to look or mail for some more info?

we would like to make some panels with the history and some pics to display on events.

ps: it seems that the first dodge will be a 64KD with a bit of luck

You are correct again Hoadie, I am a aficionado of Dodge. I own a 1952 M37.

I will start the hunt for the 9th Armor info.

I am a Dodge enthusiast as well. Although I don't currently own any Dodge military vehicles, I own a 1966 Dodge 426 HEMI engine with drive train and a 1966 Dodge Coronet.

60's Dodge stuff was awesome!
We took a '66 Satellite(that Lloyd piled up) 413 & the tranny, & transplanted it into a '67 Belvedere.(1st we had to pull the blown slant 6, & put a new K member & motor mounts in) We had the 413 sent for race cam, blueprinting & balancing.Stuck headers, tarantula intake, velocity stack, 1150 Dbl pumper, accel ignition & planed 383 heads on her. Had to cut the front wheel wells out for the fit. Put a rear end from a Chrysler Imperial init with gears(I forget what ratio they were) We had whippet tires on front & H-60 rears(Had to cut away the rear wheel wells, too).Couldn't find track ladders-so we used track bars. Had a shift kit in the trans. The car was a real sleeper...painted 3 different colours.Acceleration would just pin ya 2 the seat.Pretty squirrely to try to drive. Kept breakin motor & tranny mounts - so we welded the whole works to the frame. What a ride!

the wc63 is my dream for a while now. first time i saw one was in the ardennes in an restoration garage.
but if all goes well the first one in my collection wil be a dodge wc64 KD .

I have a folded poster that is 33 inches by 23 inch on how to "Know your Classics Dodge Weapons carrier".

It goes over history, buyers guide, and other stuff.

If you would like I can send it to you?

It was offered free with Military Machine International some years ago.

I can remember the TMP selling a bunch of Dodge trucks when I was stationed at Ft. Stewart Ga. one Guy who I was working a detail with got a Van and one of the Small Dodge trucks for $250 then sold the Van right when he pulled it out the Motor pool gate for more than Double what he go both Vehicles !!  I missed out on that auction due to having to make a run to the Airfield at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah to pick up some SF Guys returning from Duty ! They only had the sign up roster for the auction open for a short time to us while on duty!!!
Sad thing was a lot of the Boxed items they auctioned off also , were packed up by me before I got temporarily assigned to the TMP while I was going through Physical therapy at Winn Army Hospital ...

He couldn't remember the designation.
This guy has ALOT of restored WWII equipment.(WWI as well). He's got artillery, Bren carriers, troop tucks, Lorries(1 1/12 ton), artily tractor, etc, etc.
Promised to get back to me soon w/the designation.
He recently imported a field piece from Europe-being used as a cenotaph piece. Its UNBELIEVABLE how well his restorations turn out. (Oh, by the way - its ALL functional).
