I am 'correcting' a recently acquired 1943 Long Branch Enfield No.4.Mk.1, serial number starting 22L.  Buy correcting, I mean returning to original factory configuration.  It was never FTR'd and has the two-groove bore barrel.  I am replacing parts marked Savage and so forth, but I have a question regarding the rear sling swivel.  Were early Long Branch Enfield No.4 Mk.1 rifles fitted with stamped fabricated rear sling swivels or were milled rear swivels correct?  Interchangeable?  Knowledged responses are greatly appreciated.

The milled swivel would be the "correct" one. Also, I wouldn't be replacing Savage made parts. Savage sent a lot of parts to Long Branch for assembly onto their rifles so having Savage marked parts on a Long Branch is completely normal.

All fair points.  You are correct; I will never have the exact original parts on the rifle, but my Savage is 100% Savage marked, even down to the small parts, so it goes to reason my Long Branch I would prefer it to have all LB marked parts.  I am unfamiliar, but are BSA and ROF parts similarly marked?
