Appreciate this forum and I have questions. Hoping this is the right place. Have a 303 and know absolutely nothing about it. I have researched for a few days and so confusing. I have pics of markings if anyone can help identify mfg, year,  however cannot figure out how to add the pics. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome from Atlanta, GA.

Go to the “Info for new Enfield Owners” forum.  Shamu has a sticky at the top with how to post photos, very simple.

I'll let the experts here chime in, but I think I can give you the basics anyways.

A few pictures of the overall rifle will help, may have been sporterized.

Welcome aboard the Lithgow owner/ship. 👍
It looks like the (S 3343) is in the right location,top right side rear of the action?
If so it’s the PAA number,hopefully it should have the same matching number underneath the bolt handle?
PAA=Proof Action Assembly.
Cheer’s.
Anyone seen the Tardis Box anywhere? 🤨

Looks to be in good shape. It has been sporterized, the forearm has been cut down and it's missing the top handguards and rear sight protector. Has the barrel been cut down? Can you post a pic of the front of the barrel where the front sight is?

In full military drag it would have looked like this, except for the target peep sights at the rear of the action.

Don't shoot till you see the whites of their thighs. (Unofficial motto of the Royal Air Force)
