My 2 came from that auction, 285 No8s were up for sale, of the DA prefix s/n rifles there were 28 pairs of consecutive s/n, 11 of 3, 1 of 4 & 2 of 5 which = 103 rifles that were consecutively numbered to other rifles there, there were 2 pairs of the same s/n listed DA 156 & DA 730 but as it turned out 1 of the 730s was in fact DA 370.
At the auction individual bidders were only allowed to buy 3 rifles, ONE EACH of a No8, No9 & a DP No4 (These were not L59A1s as reported on one website) as i had another bidder present, i was able to get my 2 No8s plus a No9
The average price paid for a No8 was about $360NZ i paid $320 & $400
No9 around $900NZ
DPNo4 around $340NZ
At this time, March 2009 NZ$ was worth about US$0.50

Sorry - I guess Brit humour doesn't travel 12,000 miles.

Alan is that a British understatement?

Thats a MAJOR understatement

(although some does and some doesnt)
Its not what you've got thats important, its what you hav'nt got, but still want, thats important.
