It's the rifle as I can't see these little targets anymore.
Here are five from my '42. It was an unfired rifle. I have shot 25 rounds through it. Thes five are the Sierra 174g SMK
Last weekend I tried the cheaper Privi 150g FMJBT's throught it's twin. Now these are not 100y target rifles. they lay diwn past 200 and will hold that as far as I care to shoot. That far out is an air strike or a 105mm shot. I have friends who shoot these rifles at 900m and 1200m against modern rifles from the Royal Marine's and carry high point. OK I used IMR4895 but thge bullet quality was not there. No fun shooting the Privi but they are worth the bones for fun shooting and if I had used IMR 4064 it could have been another story. Plus the wind and cold. 47F and gusting off the bay at 25mph was a pain. today is a dry 88 F no wind and all the ranges are closed.
My shooter '42 Savage. It has had several scopes but now has 1943 MkII/?. It owns the local range 325y plates but that is because it knows the course.
If any thing changes with the IMR 4064 and 150g Privi .310" FMJBT's would you all like to know?
I met a guy last week who shoots the 150g Sierra Game King in his #4.
The rifles is bagged in at both ends and had two rubber butt pads on it. He get some great 100 shots. I lay in the mud in late march and cull 200 lb ferrel pigs for the farmers in the hood. I have no class. Cheers
