I've been looking for a scabbard to fit my P'88 bayonet for awhile and picked this up at a recent show. I'm pretty sure it's not for the P'88 specifically, but as it fits it perfectly I'm guessing it's a P'03 scabbard.
Anyone know for sure?

i think its an 88 scabord in a homeguard leather frog , nice grab ,
the official P03 scabord has the leather go nearly to the tip with the metal internal , only the tip is exposed metal , these are rare or at least dificult to find , i had found one but my deal has fallen thru :>{ |

So it's potentially an older scabbard in a newer frog? Interesting. The frog appears to be dated 1945 - I suspect it's Indian as they kept these bayonets around a lot longer.
The bayonet was cheap - $35 without the scabbard. The gentleman selling it knew what it was but mostly sold U.S. Militaria and had little interest in it. He seemed surprised that I had the rifle it belongs on.
One of the grips has a crack back from the drain hole (this seems pretty common) and the blade is tarnished and has some pitting on one side. Still, I can't argue for the price. It's an 1890-dated Wilkinson, unit marked to the Corps of Royal Engineers (RE). Amusingly, its rack number is 1888.
