So I saw the thread on sight pictures Amani was wondering if anyone could help with my rifle. I have a no4 mk1* with the flip 3 or 600 yrd peep hole sight. I'm looking to so some long-range shooting but not sure how to adjust for yardage with that type sight

Basically you can't. Its set dead on at 300 or 600 everything else you use "Kentucky elevation". This assumes you are zeroed and using MkVII ammo BTW.
One of the on-line ballistics calculators will give you the hold off as long as you punch in the info for whatever bullet you are using, the sight height above bore & select a 300 (or 600) yd zero.

Or you can put in a different height front sight to adjust the elevation a bit.

I would swap it out for a sight that has the  elevation adjustments from 100 to 1300 and put the  L type sight in the Enfield parts box.

For fast shooting at close range (bear charging) I've tried using the protective ears for the front sight as a sort of front aperature. Works well enough for sudden, split-second, close-in work.
