It really wouldn't do me to live near some of you as I am literally terrified of snakes, even the thought of them sends a shiver down my spine! Fortunately the only venemous snake we have over here is the Viper (More commonly known as the Adder) and they are far and few between in my area!
If any of you ever come to Lancashire in England you would be better to watch out for the loose/young women that inhabit the bars and clubs on a night time - They can cause you a lot more pain and hardship than any snake can! I know, I married one!!!LOLCryLOL
Wounding is not an option!

The most common snake here is the dreaded "SNOW SNAKE". They aint venomous, but sure can create a lot of trouble.
Black Adder (Mr.Bean) was a favourite show for me.(Along with his side-kick Baldrick)

Must be related to the Korean Snow Bear.

Lives in the DMZ and sleeps when it is warm.

Only comes out in the winter time and eats only North Koreans.

So it has been told.

I live and work in Western Australia as a paramedic on a remote mine/refinery.
We have a few snakes, 4 of the worlds most lethal and a nasty nocturnal one called a Whip snake that hurts so much you just wish that it was deadly and you were going to die.
Brown snakes (Gwarda, Taipan, Dugite) and the Death Adder are common and Ive treated 3 Brown snake bites in the last 8 years.
We dont get King Browns (actually a Black snake) up here or Tiger snakes. They are down where I live.
They are not aggressive, unlike the Eastern Brown snake, that thing will go 'postal' on you if you dont take a hint and beat it when it tells you to.

Copperheads will get aggressive at certain times of the year. it seemed that one kid walked past and then Tyler was second in line on the path and got hit!! He said it felt like 5 or 6 red hornets stinging him at one time..
But the good news is he is out and running around like a Boy Does!! Now His Mother is all over the Little Girl, and wont let her leave her sight at all...
We were standing by the cypress pond and she kept calling our names from their porch... LOL!! We had to go over and visit. since Her Momma would not let her come back to the pond with us!!
So for now , all of us are a little skeptic on where we place our feet when walking in the woods and around the ponds!!

That "second person" thing is common with rattlers. First person alarms the snake, the next gets bit.
