Bearing in mind the state of the nation can you think of a better time to do so? |

The "real" flag of the Liberals in Canada, is that rag we have now!
What SHOULD have been is the Red Ensign (which I fly instead of that Liberal rag.) The Liberals had to have THEIR flag back in '65. So - the flag that Canadians bravely / proudly fought under was tossed. (The surviving veterans are STILL bitter bout that!) |

I picked up a Union Jack (forget the manufactures name, but I did research it. Big Commonwealth flag maker in the day.) In 1978 at an army surplus store in Manitoba. They also had a HUGE Bren gun (apparently a teaching tool) and a ratty stuffed Cobra and mongoose fighting. They would only sell me the flag. It has proudly flown in my man cave (s) since then. Not the Red Ensign, but a reminder of our long history with England. Hoadie, I will break out the Kodak and take a picture! God save the King (and Queen!)

Well I just live in Blighty. Despite the weather (we always get the tail end of all the Eastern seaboard storms, mainly as wind and rain), despite Great Britain (arguably) not being "great" since WW2, despite being the most annoyingly politically correct place in the world, despite public services always being on the verge of collapse, despite us leaving Europe and that Scottish First Minister wanting to break up the UK, to me, despite getting a firearms licence being like the Spanish Inquisition, it's the best place in the world. No accounting for taste!
