Would anyone there who has a No1 MkIII with the piling swivel Please do me a huge favor?
I'm trying to figure out if the screws for the barrel bands (sling swivels) are the same thread & diameter as the ones for the threaded castings on the nose cap (Piling swivel) & the old cast sling swivel fitment in front of the magazine.

I've ordered & received some (dodgy) screws, & they don't seem to fit the cast mounting points for diameter or thread. Nor do they fit the band fitments for thread, because thy bind after 2~3 turns, but the diameter is correct?

If you have a piling swivel screw can yo see if it also fits the cast sling mount on the trigger guard, please.
I'll we you a beer or two whoever solves this one for me.

Yes it does.

You might have been shipped No.4 rifle swivel screws which look to be around the same size, but they have a different thread

OK, Thanks. I ended up returning them as they were pretty torn up as well. They replaced them with the correct screws so all's well.
