HI gents, Im a new member and recently purchaces a 303 Enfield which Im trying to ID! If anyone can help please assist me?

looks to be a sporter - im going by the checkering , its an early one , but we need to see more to know exactly what it is , could be a conversion , could be a commercial build , looks in good shape either way from what little we see here

As I understand (and away from my books at the moment) having a royal cipher means it was made for the military. From what I can see, the forend looks standard and it's acquired a very nice sportier butt along the way.
I'm with A square, like to see some more pics either way. The butt socket is in great condition, hope the rest is as good

You are correct on the royal cipher Max. Commercial rifles do not have the cipher on them.

Rifle, Magazine Lee Metford Mk.II made at the Royal Small Arms Factory, Enfield in 1894. Issued as a service rifle.

that is what i thought it to be , my computer shows only a wrist photo for this one so i do not see some of what others are commenting on , but i think we are all on the same page of it being originally a military rifle that has been sported and likely well done for the little i see
