Shamu, sometimes it's just too far gone to be repairable. Enjoy stocking up the new stuff and I hope it gets well below that 5" group Wink.
I should get a look at the No1 MkIII* this weekend; got a new bolt head thats about 4 thou bigger so should bring the headspace down to about 0,068" which is ok and a new plunger spring for the front barrel pad. Got some more PRVI ammo too, but I have a few checks to do before testing again. Hopefully I'll get to the range Sunday morning.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Don't understand what planet you have to be on to think thats not just a piece of scrap!

Well, we've got a bloke in Australia selling a welded up action that's been cut in half. He's selling the charger guide in a seperate auction. There's people actually bidding on it!!

That barrel has been de-activated... its scrap. What they do now to de-activate is:
1) Cut a groove from and through the receiver, along the barrel to a few inches before the muzzle.
2) Pin the chamber.
3) Weld up the barrel in three places along the groove.
This is MY rifle, there are many like, but this one... is MINE!
