I decided to lower my expectations and drop the L42A1 from my wish list; due to financial limitations. So I bought an L39A1.
Seems better to own an L39 than not own an L42 if you get what I mean.


It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

For those who are enthusiastic about owning an L42A1 as a shooter, I can confirm that an Enfield Enforcer is far better value!

MJ im curiuos that all of those are fitted with the ZAMAK/MAZAK butt plactes i would have thought surely one might have the brass or was that part of the LOC for these ? if so why ?

Of my eleven rifles only one came with the brass butt plate so I don't have an answer for you.  Three of my five MkII's have the brass but again not all.
