I did not like the Parker Hale barrel on my rifle. It had too many gouges on it from whoever took it off in the first place and I couldn't file it out good enough to be presentable as something I built.
I took a decent Fazackerley barrel and cut it down to 20",added some iron sights off of a Remington 700. Scuffed all the metal down with #0000 steel wool and then used the Brownells oxpho-blue. I checked and rechecked the headspace,it's better then before with the Parker Hale barrel. I had asked if this is a Parker Hale Enfield or not awhile back. It's not. I am proud to say that, this is all me.
There are many a person that will go and buy the rifle of their dreams. I decided it was better to make my own.

Took the 1944 Maltby out to compare. Kind of a before and after kinda thing. This is why I'm always going to love the Enfield rifle. All original or Sporterized.still beautiful in every aspect.
