No scabbard .
The metal is tarnished and some slight pitting on the pommel .
The handles are in good shape and the stamps are clear and well defined.
$50 and the seller forced 2 beer on me.

	Great to hear someone else got a good deal on a 1888-Pattern Bayonet. Is this the same one you mentioned for sale at $65? Mine is the same version, Type (Mk?)2, made by Enfield (EFD) in Oct. of 1897, exactly one year "newer" than yours. Do I have this correct? First version had three rivets holding the grip scales? One large and two small? Second version had two large rivets with oil/cleaning hole behind second rivet. Third version had the oil/cleaning hole relocated to the pommel? Forth version had screws and nuts holding grip scales instead of rivets? Now we need to find scabbards...LOL. Mark

	nice catch , i used to see these more regularly but seems they have gotten scarce of late , the early ones had hole for the clearing rod as well IIRC , dont believe the later did

	I saw a Pattern-1888 Mk.I "Type 2" Bayonet (2 large rivets in grip with hole in grips) at an antique store this weekend for $49 (US). It was in decent shape (but not as good as the bayonet Tymber posted or the one I have), it did not have a scabbard, most of the Pattern-1888 Bayonets I have seen for sale are without scabbards. In the last 4 to 6 months I have seen about five Pattern-1888 Bayonets for sale in the Toledo, Ohio are, so they are lurking about, but still not that common. Mark

	Well while I was sitting here going through these threds , the UPS man "PAT" showed up with my 3 - NO#1 MK 3 Bayos w/scabards. will go out to the Armoury and take some picts. of them tonight for yall to see. I orderd 3 because of the price and how hard they are becoming to get. so now I have one for each NO# 3.

	Nice bayo's! I've kept up to a bayo for each of my Enfields . I need to figure out some kind of display board instead of filling up a dresser drawer. Blue Moon beer ? lol
