My kid just turned 16 last week and she is as tall as me now.
I have a short buttstock on the Savage specifically because it fits me. She on the other hand says it is too short for her. She likes the normal size buttstock on the Long Branch. She is now the new caretaker of the Long Branch which will stay at my place for the time being...

I'm thinking more of the younger ones with shorter arms.

im letting mine grow into what i have - i have kids rifles ["boys rifles"] that they can grow out of first , i get it that we want to rush them to what we love but i learned slow and my first enfield shooting was with a full sized rifle that i wanted to shoot - it was that wanting that made it possible , i also shot my first springfield rifle at about the same time , also wanted it more than any mismatched stock length could have prevented , it just got better over time , nothing wrong with that growing into what you love - just dont push them to do what they are reluctant to try till they are ready ,

I think the 1918 .22 actually has a Bantam stock fitted. One of the No8's has a short.
But to be honest, she seems to manage pretty well with the rifles as they are.
It's great when we get to shoot as a family.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Yes it is, not "correcting", just offering some input.
