OK you guys with a .22 RF Lee Enfield. Here is a challenge for you!
Print out this target in the link below. Set it at 25 yards from your firing point. Shoot ten rounds. Suggest only two shots per target so you can count individual hits. Remember, if the bullet hole touches a score ring, you score that as a hit within that ring. This target simulates what we shoot in CMP service rifle matches at 600 yards in prone slow fire. I think I’ve only shot a clean score (all ten shots in the 10 ring) once with my DCRA No. 4 7.62 and I think a 98 with my Fulton .303. Not tried this yet with my No. 7 at 25 yds, but will put that on my to do list. Good luck! |

Well, if you want to simulate what we all do here in the US for high power Service Rifle, you shoot this prone, unsupported.
If you can shoot all ten shots into the 10 ring at 25 yards in the standing position, you are a one in a million shooter. Maybe one in 10 million!
Heck, Goosic could do it with his eyes closed ![]() |

I understood 25 yds not inches. And I am in the US, just not Arizona. Right. I just missed the instructions trying to get the link to work. Ill post a target soon as I can get this done to have some fun. |

Same here, maybe make it "from a bench but unsupported"?

Absolutely, shoot off the bench if your range does not allow prone position.

No one seems to have submitted to this, I will. I have a bunch of Army 20 yrd targets,(I`ll shot at 25yrds) 2 shots/target and one sighter target, will that do? As I don`t currently have a working printer. Plus to be fair to you know who, I`ll shoot this seated unsupported with my eyes closed. ![]() ![]() These are 20yrd indoor Armory range targets, and will be a bit smaller looking at 25yrds

Here's a picture of what my No. 2 will do if left to itself, that is firing from a bench rest in an indoor range with no cross wind. I'm not posting this to say that I could shoot such a group unsupported, I know I couldn't but it is indicative of the incredible accuracy these rifles are capable of. This group was shot at 50 yards with a PH5A sight added to the rifle.

OK just back from the range, cold and windy. -9c when I arrived with a stiff wind left to right. First pic is trying to zero the sight to 25yds Second is my first attempt seated unsupported, overall low Third pic after tweaking the a bit up and adjusting my point of aim. Fingers are about numb by now Fourth just before exiting stage left. I think this rifle in the right hands would be wonderfully accurate. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Very good shooting on that second target attempt. Imagine what you might be able to do in better weather conditions.
I think I still have some of those targets laying around. We used them when I was in the Cadets in the early/mid 1970's with the No. 7 on an indoor range in the basement of the armory. |

Thanx, it was a lot of fun. This rifle shoots and functions wonderfully, well worth the expenditure. Can you imagine where I got the stack I have. I was a supply tech
