My father called me last night and said' "Someone he knew gave him some empty brass becouse he knew I re-load" I ask my father how many empties and what cal.? He said a whole box maybe a few hundred and did not know what they were, So I went by is house thinking I was going to get some 30-06 or something. So opened the box WOW .303 british brass!!! I guessed a 1000 or better empties. Tonight I will sort and see excatly what I have so far no bearden primers. Brass is mis-matched different brands and a few different cals. Talking about a gold mine!!! Cookie Monster Edited by Cookie Monster - March 07 2006 at 10:48pm |

Dave H, Sorted for a few hours last night into bag of 50. so far 99% of the brass is stamped with a R.P .303 Brit which is a Remington made brass, so i'm happy with that, That is good quality brass. Most looks to be single fired as well. Thier off into the polisher this week end. Cookie Monster |

Wow, what a score! Good work, CM. It's always good to come across spent cases that are ready for reloading. I was able to score 56 once fired 303/25 cases from a local gunshop last year. The owner had been selling custom loaded ammo to old cockys(farmers) who owned '25s but did not reload and he gave them a bit of a rebate on the next pack if they brought back the once fired cases. Much like yours they're mainly Remington and after running them through a FL sizing die they were ready to be loaded. I think I paid in the realms of $20 for them but it was definitely worth the money. Saved me forming them from standard 303 brass and anything that takes the challenge out of that is a good thing in my opinion. Sadly, I severely doubt my father will donate some once fired 303/25 cases. He doesn't even own a gun! |
