Maybe I'm overthinking this and maybe I'm not.
I have read a few "articles" about how the barrels of these rifles are set in the fore stock. How there are only 3 points of contact. I have also read that when people free float them they screw up the accuracy. I want to be clear, I do not intend to free float or bed my No4 Mk1*/3 while I restore it. My question is, where are the 3 points of contact? I know that the hand guards should not contact the barrel in any way. Other than the recoil lug, what are the other two points of contact? My stock set that I purchased should be good to go for these contact points, right?

There is another area not shown on the diagrams. The rear of the receiver on the horizontal forend surfaces. It is this brearing that forms the third support that holds the barreled action in the correct position as it is pulled down into the forend at the main screw. The forend supports the rear reciever at this location and at the barrel bearing (muzzle or mid/center bearing). Muzzle bearing pressure should be 4-6 lbs, center bearing pressure typically 10-14 lbs when the front receiver at the man screw lug is drawn down into the forend. That would not be possible without this rear receiver bearing.
