I made a prototype bore guide.
It works well, but I'm redoing it with clean, new  tubing.
The tube started out ,as a 12" piece of 3/8" steel fuel line.
I left one end flared, for the bolt end,for easier rod insertion, and cut 4" off the other end,for the chamber.
I used my resizing tool,to make the chamber end fit without binding.
The collar to support it is a steel bushing,1/2" long 3/8" id,and turned down to  0.580 od.
I drilled and tapped a hole in the bushing ,for a 10-24 cap screw.
This locks the collar onto the tube, once it's inserted, and by holding the protruding (flared ) end,The collar is slid forward, and the screw is installed, after the oil slot is up,and  Then turned down in the lug recess, and tightened.
Pictures will follow if I can get them to load.
Expect the unexpected,..but don't expect the unexpected to be the way you expected.
