I also use 123 grain, .311 salvage from bad East German badly stored ammo.

Paddyo, out of curiosity, what are you charging your load with? The 20 grs of 4759 is barely sending 'em downrange at 1750fps. Recoil is about the same as my Winchester M92src/.32-20.

Try this when using AK bullets.

I only use the AK bullets as target and pest loads.

I was told by a friend of my son in the Sand box the enemy was loading 303 with a AK bullet and the same powder as a AK round. Not not want to even try this.

As usual, SG Ammunition in Oklahoma has mass quantities of .303 British on sale for very reasonable prices.  PPU, Hornady, and WWII surplus.  https://www.sgammo.com/catalog/rifle-ammo-sale/303-british-ammo

That’s S&B ammo ! Not a bad price , but man that ammo served up to Hoadie would be like him finding out the cat just went crazy on the paper towels and toilet paper rolls !!!  Hoadie had bad experience with S&B some time ago !!!
But it would be some good stuff to have around for letting someone shoot up that just wants to burn some rounds !!!

That's a picture of Hoadie I can not get out of my head.

I will send him a multi roll pack of paper towels.

Funny thing is, that cat he got came from my house ! We had 3 kittens left from some barn kittens… one took to Hoadie and his Girlfriend. So they took him back home … He keeps Hoadie on his toes !!! We still have a brother and sister to the one Hoadie took home . And they are just as bad !! They destroyed my paper towels that I had by my outside sink !!
