Can someone help me identify the coffee colored hard wood stock I’ve seen on some Isfapores?
It almost looks like a composite material of some sort. Very dark red and a bit heavy.

Dark red and heavy I think is a mahogany. I am not super knowledgeable on this but I believe the Indians used a lot of teak and mahogany woods for their stocks.

Well at first glance, it screams walnut to me, but without seeing it in person it`s hard to say for sure. But more than likely some type of Indian hardwood.

I agree. It was really dry after cleaning so I added some boiled linseed oil to it and what you see is what I got.

Walnut I think, but to me it looks like American walnut. (Very unlikely though)

the right choice for refurbing the finish - rub it in well with a soft cloth and repeat to get a lasting look , repeat as necessary to maintain ,

Yes! I don’t want to change anything just lubricate it a little.
