I finally got my C&R application the other day and mailed it back today. Hopefully in 8 weeks or less I'll have my license.

I would love to get a C&R license, however, living in California probably wouldn't be the best place to have one. Anyone know of anybody in CA that has one? I would be interested to see if they had/have to jump through hoops. Eric |

Eric, my coworker got his C&R. Haven't heard of any problems, I'll ask and post a response.

Sorry Eric, forgot to get back on this. My friend has had no problems
with the CR license. he lives in Sacramento, CA and has ordered from
several of the large suppliers, Century, SOG. with no problems. He has
had problems with one of the local shows, whatever the class of gun
was, the seller didn't think it was worth the problem for the paperwork
at his end and preferred to go through a FFL for the transfer.
Other than that, no issues. Ed |

Well, I sent in my form for my C&R FFL today. I guess I'll know in about 8-10 weeks if I am worthy enough to have one... atleast in the eyes of the BATFE! Eric |

Eric, Who'd you put as your CLOE (chief law officer) on the application? Police chief of roseville? Head Sheriff of Placer county?

Well, I thought about that, so I called RPD and they said to list the Chief of Police, since Roseville is an incorporated city. So that's what I put. You're in Lincoln, right? Are you in the city, or in the county part? Eric |

Now not being ware of how your laws work over your side of the Pond?
May I ask what a C&R permit is & what does it entitle you to ?
Look I'm just being curious as I have heard the term used before
& am always to Bullheaded to ask what could sound like a stupid
question

Davie;
Methinks it stands for"collector restorer", but I could be wrong. I also suspect that the FFL part stands for Federal Firearm Licence. That should allow them to send / recieve firearms & parts thru mail system, & import parts/firearms as well.I THINK. Being a Canuck, I'm not fully versed on their laws. Going stateside saturday to check out some guys that have some 35 L/E's & an operational BREN. (This is gonna be a hoot!!) Hoadie |
