A.K.A. BLO! Anyone got a trick for this? The cap (adult proof, Push Down & turn while ratchet is engaged) on a nearly full bottle of it has set & is glued to the glass threads. I can push it down, down but turning just clicks the ratchet. ![]() |

Boil water and submerge the Stand Oil bottle in the boiling water for at least 45 seconds and then remove. The cap should twist off effortlessly afterwards...

I've had this problem before. I pushed down while at the same time applying a pair of channel lock pliers and squeezing gently to engage the cap and the safety.

along with that bad taste it will stain your teeth - lotta work to get that off me thinks , but a little boubon can cut that taste , scotch might be better as a scotsmans solution ,

Gee, thanks, Paddy! ![]() I got it. Bore cleaner! yep it eats the finish off stocks so I figured it might eat it out out bottle threads too! ![]() I put some mineral oil on the threads as well so hopefully it wont simply re stick! |
