Which action wrench is the correct one to use for a No1 receiver?

This one I can get locally. I think it is the correct one? A person said in comments it worked perfectly on a No4 receiver.

The side with the handle seems to have a pocket machined into it, can’t see how that works?

Here is my wrench:

Hmm... I'm not sure. Maybe the notch goes around the lug on the bottom of the receiver?

The difference between a No 4 and Smle wrench is how they fit around the spigot and how they apply torque.
Often I think if the wrench is of a common variety, multi action type the movable head, will not fit the ring of the body as well as for a no 1.
It will bear closer to the magazine opening on the no 1, if the movable, top piece is not wide enough to accommodate the difference between the two and clamps up just so.
I had to wind up making my own two piece, so the rear sight bed doesn't have to be removed like on some types that are available.
It fits, Arisaka- Mauser No1, 4 and a Martini so it was worth the trouble.
I'm sure manufactured types are available that work better than what I concocted but its spun a number of barrels on, and off and I haven't destroyed anything to date.
You have to be careful how you treat the underside of those bodies, especially that small raised ring on the 4's. The one I made applies clamping pressure right to the bottom of the spigot.
For a one off project, I would send it off to someone who has the right rigging for a No 1 vs a No 4

And boy could I use that about now ! I'm going to see if a local machinist can fabricate one for me. I do believe it would be the ticket for my problem receiver/barrel.

His page doesn't look like it. If you try to choose a country there's only one choice USA.

It's no surprise some sellers are particular about which countries they'll sell to.  I buy and sell a lot of stuff on eBay and in Nov. 2021 bought a PH5A sight from a seller in Australia who promptly shipped it.  Two months later after it hadn't arrived he refunded my purchase price.  Surprise, surprise it finally arrived some 6 months after being shipped.  I contacted the seller in Oz to figure out how to send him the money he had refunded me and was told to contact one of his buyers here in San Antonio, TX who's barrel hadn't arrived from Australia.  The money I owed the seller was very close to what he owed the buyer in SA.  I wonder if the barrel ever did arrive.

I ship stuff internationally and receive international shipments regularly as well.  Generally I don't have any issues.  I also visit the US regularly and will bring back items with me then, if shipping is too much of a hassle.  At the moment, the US has banned the shipping of items that could be used in a conflict without an export permit.  Australia has very strict rules about firearms parts being imported into the country and require a B709 permit.  I have to fill one out every time I bring ammunition into the country.
