Well gents i have just completed my gun safety course here in Australia , now i can apply for a class a/b license in ACT.28 days to wait now after it gets dropped of to the police .

ACT - Australian Capital Territory (Canberra is located there)
Class A licence is Air Rifle, Rimfire Rifle and Shot Gun not incl Semi-Auto. Class B is Centerfire Rifle not incl Semi-Auto ... in a nutshe!!, some caviets.
Only downside on the ACT licence is the PTA process and having to get the serial number of the rifle you intend to buy before submitting the PTA then having to wait 28 days on EVERY firearm. Anyways, I'll probably see you at the range! I am one of the RO's
