he!!o all from Southern California. I purchased a no4 mk1 as my first rifle a while back and have lurked around this site for a while now so figured I should go ahead and join.  The rifle is an Ethiopian goat shed special so it’s definitely not winning any beauty contestsLOL. When I received it it had a severely warped stock that I could not straighten so I recently picked up a complete stock set from a DP rifle that so far seems to fit much better.I’m looking forward to shooting it soon to see if the new stock helps the accuracy over the original one. When I figure out how to posts pictures I’ll post them, the truck forums I’m on we all love pictures.

Was the stock dropped in, or hand fitted?
Usually there is some hand fitting involved for a good bedding.
Just be aware the "DP" marked wood will have  bunch of people yelling at you not to fire it!

The original stock was extremely warped and very loose around the receiver. No effort at all to remove or install. The replacement stock is definitely more snug while trying to install. I’ve watched some of the Enfield accurizing videos on YouTube and have tried to get it fitting better. I did the wd40 and baby powder thing to check how the barrel fit at the muzzle end and the Knox form. Seems to be decent. I had to sand a bit in the middle of the barrel to get a piece of paper to slide around the barrel the whole length without touching. Little baby steps because I don’t want to damage anything.
