IIRC, the gentleman you refer to re: the statue - was Laura Secord's nephew. He served as a surgeon (you know - trying to save lives) in a Georgia Regiment during the un-civil war.
Once again - these "woke" clowns should get WOKE!! The same thing happened in Toronto a short time ago..they wanted the marker removed from a house that was owned (back then) by a friend of Confederate President Jefferson Davis. The marker indicated that they were friends, & after the war Davis had stayed with his friend for a brief period of time.
...& they removed the statue of Sir Wilfred Laurier for dumb ass unfounded reasons!
They don't even have to fact check the claims...they say it's so-so it MUST be!!

Both Canada and the United States are on the cusp of either pulling back from the edge of one party near-totalitarian rule and a descent into progressive he!! or pulling back from the Left's "event horizon" from which only anger, ignorance, and hate can escape to destroy Western civilization.
