   after the crash , complications were serious but they saved it and fixed it , but the surgeries were fairly major and the recovery will be long 
she said it was complicated by compartment syndrome , 
i know a little of that as my daughter had that in both her legs and had surgery on both to relieve the condition in high school , she recovered and went on to play volleyball in college as well as some at olympics with other coaches when she was there coaching ,

	My father got his leg smashed up that badly when he was T-Boned by a car, when he was riding a motorcycle. The cast went from ankle to collarbone & he wore it for almost a year with a couple of "changes". He always walked with a limp afterwards because they had to trim so much shattered bone off to find something solid to brace & bolt to. It ended up almost 1 1/2" shorter than the other one.
