Just thinking out loud here.
I have a loooooong thread in mind on the re-animation of the #4 Mk2 I un-mummyfied, & got looking really spiffy.
There are almost 60 pictures alone.
I'm wondering if this shouldn't be the seed corn for a gunsmithing, DIY, or similar forum for those posting similar items.
This would maybe too bulky for the regular enfield rifles pages.

I'm still working on the thread, but have finished the project, other than testing for accuracy & zero. So we're talking a week or two before I'm ready to start posting.
Whaddya all think?

A follow-up thought.
I'm thinking of breaking it into several threads, one on each aspect of the process.
The thinking behind this is that it can be added to by others who have different tips, or techniques by section. That way all the stock cleaning tips would be together, all the finishing tips together, but seperate & so on.

The idea here is for me to post the "seed corn" and everyone else to add to the harvest. Maybe we'll end up with a kind of encyclopedia of Enfieldom.Clown

I haven't heard anything from Dave, so for now I'll start it off in the "enfield Rifles" forum.
Dave: If you want to move it go right ahead.
It's growing by leaps & bounds, about 23 pages of a word document, and almost 70 pictures.Star

Thanks, cookie.
Do you want me to just delete the one I started & re-post over there?
It's real easy to do, I have the original saved so it's just copy/paste at this end.
