I was given some stuff today that belonged to an old mate of mine.
He was a shooter all his life and collected a lot of stuff over the years.
I hope the images work, in all the years I have been here I have never posted a picture before.

Parker Hale sight, imagine my delight.

Ok, so its for a P14

A box in a box

Not a Parker Hale but sights none the less

For the No4 rifle

A Lane sight as well, not in the box though.

Oh no no no!  You don't want that junk cluttering up your house, do you?  Send the sight to me immediately and I will properly dispose of it for you. It's the least I can do for a fellow enthusiast. LOL

It will be a problem to store no doubt but I'll manage somehow. If I send it over to you I will have to find a small box to put it in and wrap it, take it down to the post office, all seems a bit hard. Thanks for the offer anyway.
I think the Parker Hale box wouldn't be that common, I wouldn't imagine people would've have bothered keeping them once they fitted the sight.
Got a heap of other 303 screws and small bits as well and a couple of nosecaps. Looks like he must have wrecked a couple of rifles at some stage.

Yes, I think the box would increase the value of the sight by a great deal.  It's hard enough to find the hardware, let alone the box that it came in.  Nice find!

That sight does not belong in that box.
The sight is a Lane which was an Australian made sight very similar to the Central which was very popular in Australia.
I am not sure where the P-H sight went which would have come from the box originally.
I didn't have a Lane in my collection so it was very welcome.

Not the original box and sight?  Yeah, definitely clutter and junk.  You have a moral obligation to send it all to me right away for disposal.  I can't sleep at night knowing a fellow Enfield enthusiast is being forced to keep a mismatched sight and box.Beer
