Bagged a Fat white tail doe this morning. Not bad I think for the first day of the year putting meat in the freezer. I used the .303 jungle carbine with hand loaded ammo.

Nice job CM,  it is a good feeling to fill the freezer and be able to provide food for your family, just by taking a walk in the woods with your trusty old rifle.  (and a little work Wink)

Hoadie,
The Carbine was a No4 MkI that was converted by Santa Fe. It is superior to the original. As far as gun safety goes. Guns are pistol, shotgun, air rifles, Muzzleloaders, and modern rifles, etc. I also teach them the safety aspects on knifes, archery, hatchets, and saws. My four year old son well correct some one that is mis-handling a toy gun and instruct them not to point guns at any body. Thanks for the congrats on the deer Hoadie!!! Yes a Porsch, Lambourghini, Rolls Royce, Bentley's etc. are all cheap and we do call them buggies.

You still going to try and come down and hunt Turkey this spring?

How old?? Question should be how young? I will put it this way they are protected by my arsenal. Oldest went on her first dance this past christmas and was a highly supervised event. Rules are as follows:

Never mess with a man's family, his livelyhood, and Enfields.Censored
