My new addition No2 MkIV ¿

Can anyone help me with the following rifle.

i did not have an No2 MkIV in my collection, saw this one on sale and bought it.

According to the seller it was an No1 Mk.III* that was changed to No2 MkIV by parker hale.





Could you guys help me with the picture below.
there are some numbers (Dates?) probably changes made but i do not know.
what can you tell me of the picture below.

and what would this rifle be worth?

It’s a very nice looking rifle Angelo how much did it cost you ?
I am new to enfield’s so I can’t help you with a price value but I am sure some other members here will have the answer soon

Here in the states, that No1 refurbished to .22  by Parker Hale can sell between $1500.00 - $2500.00 USD depending on condition. Nice find...

Looks like a nice original example.
In Europe I would expect this to be between 1000 to 1200 Euro's at the moment.
Have you shot it yet? They are so much fun.

The barrels were sleeved down to .22 by AG Parker. Hence the Parker rifled stamp on the muzzle.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

no i have not shot it yet. it is not yet in my possession. i still have to do the paperwork. it could be a month or 2 before i have it with me. i will shoot it once it is here.

It is my first No.2 it was still missing, the gap in my enfield rifles.

The rifle pictured has a sleeved barrel. If you zoom in enough you can see the parting line...

Shamu, both sleeved and new barrels were used; it depends on the year and type of trainer. Most of the WW1 production were sleeved I believe; probably due to the number of worn out barrels available.

There is a wide variety of Enfield .22 trainer's.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

nice find , sleeved or new barrel , ive yet to find a trainer that didnt shoot well , ive had a dozen , still have half dozen , these have commanded an increasing value since then as goosic noted and others confirmed , yours is a great addition to your collection , congrats

Thanks. I am stil looking for a no.7 and no.9 but those are really expensive. 

But oneday i will but them.

This one was 500,- euro.

dont forget the no 8 , then going backwards is the Cond II and the long lees 
the Cno7 is available if you look , finding a complete no7 will be another story ,

I already own 2 No.8 lee enfield rifles.


I know a dealer that has a lot of these 22LR lee enfield rifles.

a purpose build Long Lee build in .22LR by LSA (London Small Arms) in 1897. probably only 100 of these were made there.

that dealer also has a Lee Metford II 1894 converted in 1908 to ConD IV in .22

Same for a No.7 and No.9 .22 lee enfield. but prices is the main problem.

If i has a spare 10K i could buy them all. but i do not have that kind of money.

so finding any of these enfields aint no problem. mostly it is a money issue.
i had 10 opportunities to buy a L49A1 but they go between 10K and 13K.Cry

I assume that would be the L42A1 sniper rifle at 10K
The L39A1 target rifle is very cheap by comparison for an almost identical rifle. Probably around 10-15% of the price of the L42.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
