The abbreviation is actually RFI for Rifle Factory Ishapore and the IP stands for Ishapore Pattern. I'll have to look up the specifics of the MK I** IP as Ishapore kind of had their own thing going on with those. Hence the IP designation applied.

It actually makes a big difference as to the ammunition it was sighted in for. If you could post some pictures that would be great. For a magazine, if look up one for a No 1 Mk III* Enfield you will find magazines that will work. They are available from many parts houses. Just make sure to get an original as the reproductions have issues. Keep in mind it may take tweaking to get the magazine to feed correctly in your rifle. The magazines were fitted to the rifle and then never intended to be removed or replaced.

The year of manufacture is worn down too much for me to see it. Is there a way for me to look up the year using the serial number?

Also, will these work in my rifle?

It looks like a very clean hunting rifle.
Can you tell us what's the issue with the magazine you have?
Maybe it just needs a new spring; or maybe adjustment if you have a feed problem.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

others here can help more with your mag issues and yes it looks very much a great hunting rifle - one i would feel great taking to the field , as far as restoration , i would want to look more into cost vs what you intend for it in the end  , you have a fine rifle

edit to add that the ammo will be just fine if its what its marked on that fine looking box , congrats
