I first learned to shoot a rifle at the age of 7 with a No. 2 MkIV*.  That was almost 60 years ago and my love affair with the Lee Enfield rifle has never ended.  I currently own a Lithgow No.1 MkIII, a No.4 Mk I, a No.4 MkI*,  an Ishapore 2A, and of course, a copy of the .22 trainer I learned on.  I'm a former Canadian Military Engineer who moved to Texas from British Columbia, Canada 20 years ago and I'm looking forward to retiring soon to devote more time to collecting, reloading, and shooting.  Thanks for the add and I eagerly anticipate learning much from the tribal knowledge here.

Welcome from France. The No2mkIV* are still teaching kids today. My daughter started at 7 with a No8 and also now our 1918 SMLE .22.
She's 10 now and occasionally beats me at the range.
Please share your experience and collection with us.
Zed.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
