this was asked elsewhere , lots of different responses , no i did not , im not going out in this era of lawlessness unless needed and it was not needed , the crime rate here is hitting all time high according to my police and sheriff friends , car thefts , car jackings [im going to shoot the car jacker that tries] along with assaults and store thefts [that one might also end in a confrontation i dont want to be involved with] much of it resulting in the defund/abolish the police ,
i recall when the CCW became "shall issue" here and the retoric was lawless 'old west' expectations - that never happened , but this liberal/socialist move is causing the 'old west crime era reoccurrence' , we used to lynch horse theifs - maybe we should lynch car thief's for a bit ?
what is the liberal take on their theory ? the rehabilitation/second chance aint working is it ? |

Minimal shopping on my part. I drove an hour and a half each way to have after-Thanksgiving brunch with my oldest daughter and granddaughter and then for a few groceries. Crime here in my part of Melbourne is relatively low. But my Glock M48 was tucked into my IWB holster, none-the-less. Going to a small local gun show tomorrow. Who knows? Maybe I'll score another .303!

..if you score another .303 all you will be able to do is look at it.

I won’t go out on Black Friday, too much craziness. People used to start to line up at the doors by 3AM. Not sure what it’s been like since online shopping started, maybe not as bad as it used to be.
I did go out yesterday to get my 4Runner from the shop. I hit a deer at 65 mph in early October. Took that long to get the front end repaired due to parts supply problems. |

Parts supply is a global problem at the moment. It's not just ammo. Although I did buy a box of 500 Hornady .22 standard velocity and a box of 20 PPU .303.
Pleased to see that the price was same as last year. Have not tried the Hornady .22 before, hope it's good in the Enfield's.

Hoadie, of course you were right! It was quite a small show, perhaps 65 or 70 tables. And not a .303 rifle nor round to be found. Actually wasn't much in the way of firearms at all. This show was poorly timed, being Thanksgiving weekend and only a week after the much larger, regular Melbourne show, held only 1/2 mile away!

The Progressives have a new (& disgusting) catchphrase to replace "shortages across the board" because its "inflammatory". (this is real, I kid you not). "Supply chain constipation", (because its natural). I guess its balanced by "verbal diarrhea" by our elected "Fearless Leader"? |

seems we all agree on the shopping to one degree or another , just bot a thing i do unless i need something bad enough to go out after it , i did need penut butter couple days ago - but i wont till next year now :>}
my truck took about a month when i hit my deer a bit back , know of what you speak , darn things are a real pest in the city ...i have encouraged the hunt/cull to reduce the problem but seems to get worse as time goes by , i drive a bit more cautious and watch a bit more close but i suspect i may hit another before my life is over , wish it different tho , also hope the 303 shortage gets eliminated but i suspect we are in for a it of a wait i think the libs are affecting this in ways we have not yet realized ,

I didn't indulge in Black Friday at all. Out here, with the flooding and river breaching the dyke it is hazardous to travel.

When I came to "upstate" N.Y. first they advertised "winter wine". I was thrilled then I tried it. It grapes picked really late in the year, & actually very good. But to me "winter wine" is a big container (or small barrel) of regular wine that's been "left in the snow" with regular agitation by a "brave volunteer" & run through a coffee filter a few times to extract the ice crystals. You end up with 1/3 gallon (or so) of really potent & flavorful wine for every gallon you started with. It's not even illegal in Wales, he!! they don't even know you're doing it! |
