I just finished welding in the drift pin holes where the rear sight was and smoothing out the barrel lines...

Cold bluing. I have been taking measurements on the facing and seating area of the threaded end so I can thread it all the way in and have the flat on the barrel facing up so I do not have to re-index an extractor cut 180° opposite the original. I will have to reface the bolthead as well. If all of what I am doing pans out I will have a bolthead at .620 and a barrel custom fit to my No4 action. Basically starting out with a new barrel.
