Contemporary Books on Competitive Shooting

   I’m glad to see this new forum topic introduced. 
Thought I would kick it off with some good reading material that deals with shooting the Lee Enfield in competition. These four books are written by some of the best shooters, all have won the King’s and/or Queen’s Prize in UK NRA Service Rifle shooting. My own experience has shown much improvement by following the advice of these authors. It’s remains every bit as relevant today as it was when these books were written. Following these fundamentals will pay off in your scores. 

You may not be able to read the text in the photo’s, but the four books are:

The Elements of Rifle Shooting, BGen J.A. Barlow
Competitive Rifle Shooting, James Sweet
Essentials of Marksmanship, Maj E.G.B Reynolds
Target Rifle Shooting, Maj E.G.B. Reynolds and Robin Fulton

All four of these books include information for shooting with a target type aperture sight, such as the PH 5A or 5C. This may not be applicable to those shooting in “as issued” type matches. But valuable information nevertheless.
