L42A1 magazine original vs repro

   While hunting for another unicorn, a Ross 1910 MK lll rifle rear sight, I might have found the L42A1 magazine I was hunting for.
If true, it appears to be one original and two reproductions made with original springs and followers.
Does anyone have knowledge or experience with the reproductions vs originals?

Now I am hoping to score that Ross rear sight if I am patient in my hunt 🦊

	I have four original Enfield L42 magazines but have no personal experience with the alternatives. Are your "reproductions" not possibly magazines made by Sterling for their 7.62mm conversion?

	Moosim, Very interesting. Do they still eject spent cases from a genuine Enfield conversion? (L42A1, L39A1, Enforcer or Envoy) Otherwise, probably intended as a replacement for an Ishapore or Sterling magazine. Terry

	Are the Sterling 7.62 magazines supposed to hold 10 rounds? I can only get 9 into the one I have. No way the 10th round is going in there…

	I think I found the answer to my own question above; the platform and spring is from a 2A Ishapore repro magazine. The original should have a leaf type spring and different shaped platform.
