Recent purchase which I thought would kinda look good on my '45 GRI Mklll* ShtLE .
Original maker of this bayo was Vickers . before the Indian conversion.

Nice pig sticker there.
But the winters coming,

And the snow will cover tracks,

And I'll be watching,

Because I'm hunting you

Is it just me or do some of the Indian made and converted 12" bayonets have really good bluing? The bluing on your bayonet looks great. I have a Wilkinson Pattern-1907 Bayonet that had been cut-down in India and the bluing is great (it also has "trace ammounts" of black paint in the fuller).

From what I have read and heard, the 12" Pattern-1907 "type" bayonets were only converted/newly made in India. The question I have is: would these be only issued Indian units or would they be also used by British/ British Empire troops serving in the Far East Theatre in WWII?

I have a nice WW II vintage mauser bayonet that was reworked into a Hunting knife. Good steel and nice blue.
