Todays work.
Multiple coats of neat Linseed Oil painted on, rubbed in with a cloth and some wire wool then wiped off. ![]() I also prepared the wax that I will be polishing the wood with later in the week - 50/50 Bees Wax and Linseed Oil |

And so here is the finished rifle, new cheek piece and all! I took it to Can’t wait to get back and do some serious shooting before the next 400mtr shoot at Souge! |

Ducan is that a non Gunsmith scope mount? I like that rifle and can be made back original if needed.

That was the whole idea CM. Because this rifle is already a mix of parts and therefore has no history I was prepared to do it. It's from S&K Scope Mounts in PA. Part Nº. 1165 which includes the mount rings. Was easy to fit and to zero. |

excelent job of that , it makes me wish i had the ones id done back - i had a Cno7 canadian trainer id fitted that way and a charnwood conversion to 762x51 id done as well ,
think ill hang that "kick me" sign on my arse again
