No.4 Mk.1* Long Branch - Which Bayo?

   I also have a No.4 Mark 1* Savage made.  It came with a spike bayonet.  I would imagine they were cheaper and quicker to produce during the  war, I do wonder if there is any anecdotal evidence as to how effective they were in combat as compared to a blade style bayonet.
