Many years ago I was at our local Gun Show. There was a distributor selling AIA repo Enfields. The rifle looked very nice. I was interested in their version of the No4 Mk1 (full wood) and their No5. Two things prevented me from purchasing both. Cost ($750 each approx. 15 years ago!) and Calibre. (7.62x51 and 7.62x39). Really glad I didn't buy them and spent the money on the real deal! It was an interesting idea and endevour though...

They were actually banned from import in the U.S. (made in Korea IIRC.) They eren't "real" Enfields though, no interchangeable parts, but a close copy. The carbine in 762X39 might have been interesting.

i am not sure if i would have liked them but i might have entertained the idea as a shooter
but yes - as a collector id not have wasted my money on them when there were real enfields to buy ,
