Hi everyone, please help. I bought my first Lee Enfield ShtLe III* rifle. Unfortunately, the rifle has a hard time ejecting empty cartridges. Sometimes they stay in the magazine well, sometimes they fall out of the rifle. I tried buying a new extractor. It didn't help. Now I'm waiting for a new extractor spring. Does anyone have a video of how they eject your gun?

Where else could I look for the problem? Thank you.

Cases eject by friction of the case rim against the left side receiver wall of the Bolt raceway. If its EXTRACTING from the chamber the extractor is fine.
The tension depends on the EXTRACTOR SPRING for ejection.

Its sometimes "The Big Nut Behind The trigger" too. Star

The bolt is designed to be "Worked Smartly" FAST & FULL travel. Maybe you're not "whipping it out fast enough"?

Sounds like the extractor spring, see if a new one fixes it.  There’s not really much else it could be, and if nothing else the ejector screw should kick them out & rarely does that part actually fail.  Since neither the friction from the receiver nor the ejector screw are doing what they’re supposed to, the likely culprit is weak tension of the extractor spring.

Any  advice on replacing the Extractor spring on the No 1, Mk III rifle?  I just broke two of these while attempting to replace it.
