Memorial .303 shoot for a Old friend

   Just before xmas a dear Mate . Charlie Hosking passed away .It was a
blessing for him as he was on oxygen 24hrs a day & had aged beyond
belife.The day before he died we got him up the range & he was
amongst Friends one last time ! I'm glad to report that the Quorn rifle
& shooting club is holding a Invertation Memorial shoot for him !
The classes will be Iron sights ,Telescopic ,Apeture /Peep  &
His surviving Daughter has requested a differant class /trophy for Pro
shooters ,as she remembers her Dad telling her what dirty cheats Pro
shooters are when it comes to shooting against each other . 

       I think that Charlie would be
embaressd over the whole thing as he was a True Gentleman of the Old
school & a quiet achiver & coached many young shooters &
was always a shoulder to cry on for us Older ones ! But the thought of
accussing us His fellow Pros as being Cheats ! 
Ok there probarly been times that we stacked the odds in our
favor,stole roos from each other's chillers ,poached each others
properties,even helped ourselves to each others Fuel supplies ! But
cheat ????That hurts !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

         The event will be
prone ,sitting & standing supported against a Post at 200mtrs
(180yrds ) & I'm surethat over the comming years will attract many
shooters as the advertising & word gets round the country !
