Norma,(has been discontinued)but,if you have either the 201 or 202 on hand,Norma recommends: N201 Minimum 39.0 - Maximum 41.7 / N202 Minimum 41.0 - Maximum 43.5
Personal preference for me is 35.0grns of IMR3031 or 35.0grns of IMR4064. Bother of those get you between 2300 - 2400 fps. VIHT V-140 shows a Minimum of 34.7grns and a Maximum of 42.5grns...

Norma gunpowder is very easy to get hold of here in Scandinavia so it is no problem. I know the charging data from the books. I was looking for someone who has som first hand experience from their own tries.
Thanks for your information.. I will certainly look in to that

Reloading tips are in order then:
#1: Start with the minimum charge weight advertised and then work up in .2 grain increments until accuracy falls off. Never exceeding maximum charge weights. #2: Take into consideration only, the advice that will be afforded to you with others personal experiences with certain handloads. #3: To achieve the most beneficial and accurate handload for your application, it is you that need to do the work up first and foremost and again, that begins with tip #1. From a personal perspective, I have used 41.5grns of N202 with a 150grn Spire Point, with an on par success rate when hunting medium size game. If you want to load for accuracy however, I would recommend that you use Sierra Match King 174grn HPBT with 40.0grns of N202...

Here's how I work up a load with a new bullet or powder. Ther's no one size fits all recipe even for "identical rifles". Pick you bullet, pick your powder, pick your primer, pick your case. Look up the tables from a couple of reloading manuals for that combination. If you have multiple recipes, select the highest low, the Lowest HIGH & find the load exactly 1/2way between. do a first batch of just 5 rounds at the lowest high loading, the median, & the highest low. Fire all 3 for a group. Pick the best group. if its between Lowest & median, split the difference a make that your new "median". If it between the Median & the HIGH, split that difference for a new median. now make 3 more sets of 5. NEW median 1/2 way between New Median & new low & 1/2 way between new median & new Median & new high. repeat till you get a really nice group. FWIW its usually about 2/3rd of the way between new median & new high.
