I sure would like to know if it was made in England or Canada they are a little harder for me to figure out versus American surplus
Again thank you for the help

If it is a Savage, it will have "US Property" stamped on the left side of the receiver. Though sometimes British solders did scrub that off.

Holland and Holland did not stamp H&H or Holland and Holland on any converted No4Mk1 rifles. There are very specific stamps in very specific locations on the rifle however that distinguish them from a normal No4Mk1.

I honestly have no idea who did the conversions for Canadian & U.S. Candidates.
Maybe they were sent to "the experts"?
Anyone know of or have a non H&H (t)?
Is the "S" kind of squared off, almost like a "5"?
That would be Savage Arms.
MJ11 has a Savage No4Mk1 converted to a T and I'm almost positive it was converted by H&H

Does the S look like the one pictured and can you make out any letters behind the front scope pad?

Ignoring the elctro stenciling, does the S look like the one on this rifle? If it does, look on the slant behind the front scope pad for any letters that might end in TY. Also look at the eleven O clock position near the ejector screw for a, "T" as well as looking on the left side of the wrist socket near the trigger guard screw for a TR. Last question.  What is the serial number? That will be  the fastest way to determine who made the rifle...

That S under the bolthead is specific to a Holland and Holland conversion.  I would love to see the other side showing the wrist socket area.

It may not have the "U.S. PROPERY" stamp, not all did.
The big clue would be the serial number, it should be of the format "##C####" where "#" is a digit.
The "C" is for Chicopee Falls mass where the Savage factory was.

I was looking in the reloading section and if I have a specific request how do you search thru post is there a search feature that I haven’t caught on yet?
Or do you have to just go thru the posts?
Thank you for the help
