It's not real gunsmithing. I just received my latest Addley Precision mount. I'm replacing a DAI Mgt mount with the Addley. It's my third, and very impressed. It's going on my No4 Mk2 sniper clone.

Nice, is this the one you're looking to add the extended safety to?

This one came with an extended safely also. Have no idea why. Installed one on an Enfield and it was fine. I think he may have his models mixed up as he told me only Long Branch's and No5's had the radius angle on the receiver.

I think so. I was certainly misinformed.

Shamu. You are correct. I originally ordered an Addley for my No4 Mk1 that needed the 45 deg cut. On Addleys site, the rifles listed under this are the Longbranch and Jungle Carbine. These "may" require the longer safety lever, which is supplied. I'm pretty sure the rifle I ordered the original 45 deg mount wasn't a Longbranch, but it was a Sporter and I'm not sure how to identify a LB. The site then has a separate heading #5. Which also "may" require the longer safety lever. I also had ordered a mount for a radius cut No4 I installed. No longer safety lever supplied, which I didn't need. So. Bottom line is I've just ordered according to angle and they've all fit great!

Addley mounted on my No4Mk.2 Sniper clone. Like it. No where near as cool as an original or repo mount and scope, but for me, nice.
