I have been tinkering with the idea to make my own .308 barrel for one of my No4Mk1 rifles. A friend of mine gave me a newly rifled and chambered 4150 Chrome Moly barrel for the .308Win. I own a mini lathe and finishing up the threads on it. It is going to require some time to complete this little project but it is getting there. I am going to leave the current contour and reinlet the stock.

I definitely will. I honestly cannot see how this will not work. It's too straight forward of a project.

It has not been weighed yet. There is still a bit of machining to finish with. So until it gets to the final fitting stage it will not get weighed. It has a six groove micro rifling with a 1-10" twist. After all the machine work is done, it will be cryogenically frozen first before it is permanently installed.

he!!o,
I’m new here and I’m trying to build myself a no.4 Mk 1 enfield. I was just wondering what you are going to do with the 303 barrel you took off? I have a complete receiver ready for a good barrel.
